Here for sale is this stunning and scarcely seen Model 411 Siesta Lounge chair designed by VB Wilkins for E Gomme (later to become G-Plan) produced in 1956. The armchair was designed to give uniform support from the nape of the neck to the back of the knees. Featuring amazing angles with kicks back legs that angle upwards to smooth, ergonomic armrests. The seat itself is a magnificent curved shape that sits perfectly within the frame. The three generous sections of the face of the seat are smooth segments with deep tucks between and the result is a chair that looks incredible and super comfortable to sit in. We have stripped the frame and refinished it, given it a coat of dark varnished for protection. The upholstery has been replaced with this beautiful mustard fleece weave fabric which contrast beautifully with the dark frame.
This is a very desirable piece that would make a great addition to any Vintage/Mid century inspired interior.
